The Ministry of Culture and Community Development (MCCD) has announced the appointment of the new Board of Directors for the Export Centres Company Limited (ECCL).
The members received their instruments of appointment on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 from the Minister of Culture and Community Development Michelle Benjamin.
The newly appointed Board of Directors of the ECCL comprises:
· Mr. Javed Khan – Chairman
· Ms. Handella Ramsingh – Director
· Mr. Satya Deo Babulal – Director
· Ms. Amanda Wall – Director
· Mr. Maniram Beedasie – Director
· Ms. Seema Ramsaran-Augustine – Director
· Mr. Jeffery Carvalho – Director
· Ms. Patricia Jaikaransingh – Director
In delivering brief remarks, Minister Benjamin reflected on the vital role of the Board in steering ECCL’s future, stating: “The Export Centres Company Limited stands as a symbol of how culture and creativity can be transformed into meaningful economic opportunity. It has nurtured artisans, created pathways for entrepreneurship, and supported the growth of craft as a viable industry. This new Board is entrusted with the responsibility to strengthen governance, expand market opportunities, and ensure that ECCL remains at the forefront of cultural and economic development.”
