Leading the new Board is Business Strategist and Innovator, Ms. Ria Karim, who has been appointed Chairman, with Mr. Nischall Shane Poona serving as Deputy Chairman. Over the next two years, they will guide an eleven-member team with a bold mandate: to build a Digital Society, drive a Digital Economy and establish a Digital Government. The Board’s Directors include Mr. Brent C. Hector, Ms. Shivana Motie, Mr. Kissoonlal Sinanan, Mr. Shannon Rampersad, Mr. Khalid Burke, Mr. Atiba Phillips, Ms. Sapphire Mohan, Ms. Miriam Rampersad, and Mr. Jessel Mohammed, each bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.

In his address to the Board, Minister Smith emphasised the critical role iGovTT plays in bridging the digital divide and transitioning Trinidad and Tobago into a more connected and efficient society. Minister Smith urged the Board to embrace three guiding principles: Sharing the Vision, Feeling the Vision and Working Together to Execute the Vision. Further, Minister Smith stressed that success of these principles will depend on the Board’s ability to make digital transformation a lived reality for all citizens, ensuring no one is left behind. He also encouraged members to leverage their collective expertise to promote equitable access to technology and create an environment where innovation can thrive.

The iGovTT Board will serve for a two year period.
