One Suspect Held, Two Firearms Seized In Exercises In Central And Western Divisions

One suspect was arrested and two firearms seized during anti-crime exercises conducted in the Central and Western Divisions this weekend.

In the first exercise, Task Force officers in the Central Division proceeded to the Carapichaima district between 4am and 8am on Sunday October 5th, 2025, where they conducted a search which resulted in the discovery of one Glock pistol loaded with a magazine containing seven rounds of ammunition.

One 24-year-old Carapichaima man was arrested in connection with the find.

The exercise was coordinated by Supt. Glodon, ASP Harrylal and Insp. (Ag.) Francis.

Meanwhile, in the Western Division, Task Force officers conducted an exercise between 12 noon and 5:30pm, on Saturday October 4th, 2025 in the St. James district.

With the assistance of the Western Division Gang Unit, several searches were conducted which resulted in the discovery of one pistol and three rounds of ammunition in an apartment complex.

Investigations are ongoing into the two above matters.
