One Week To Go: TPP Signals Confidence Ahead Of THA Elections

With one week to go before Tobago heads to the polls, the Tobago People’s Party is reiterating its confidence in victory.

During a political meeting on Sunday, TPP Political Leader Farley Augustine said the party is ready to celebrate.

“Let us keep pressing towards the higher calling. Let’s go out and canvass every day, knock on all those doors, make the phone calls, talk to those who are still unsure about whether they should vote or not. We are taking nothing for chances. We are leaving nothing to chance. This is not a gamble. This is a vote for the surest development for the island of Tobago.”

Mr. Augustine said Tobagonians have confirmed their support for the TPP. However, he encouraged the TPP’s 15 candidates to keep their feet on the ground as the race heats up.

“Next week Monday around this time, we will have already completed our celebrations by the Esplanade in Scarborough, and we will be preparing for yet a new day, a new Tuesday morning with the entire island blue, blue, blue, blue, blue and so let me remind you of what you have to do. The symbol is simple. The symbol is an anchor, and that anchor is going to hold.”
