Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz are on the brink of topping their Concacaf W Championship qualifying group, after Khadija Shaw put on a masterclass at the National Stadium in Kingston on Friday night.
Shaw netted a hat-trick as Jamaica ran out convincing 4-nil winners over Antigua and Barbuda
It wasn’t straightforward, Jamaica hit the woodwork four times and Antiguan keeper Anik Jarvis was in inspired form.
But Shaw delivered when it mattered, a first-half penalty, a cool finish after the break, then a diving header to complete the hat-trick.
Deneisha Blackwood added a late penalty to seal it. Shaw now sits on 66 international goals for the Reggae Girlz and one draw against Guyana is all Jamaica needs to top the group.
