An additional 20.76 million dollars is being proposed for the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, in the 2026 supplementary appropriation and mid-year review.
According to Finance Minister, Davendranath Tancoo, the figure is expected to cover outstanding arrears and international obligations, including 13.75 million dollars to cover the cost of proposed repairs, to the residents of the permanent representatives of the permanent mission of the United Nations in New York.
“20.76 million dollars to settle outstanding arrears left by the PNM, or arrears left by PNM to CARICOM and to meet the cost of the Government’s contributions to the UN Peace-keeping operations.”
