Two organisations providing food assistance to vulnerable families have received a donation of 2,500 cans of Brunswick products.
The donation was made by the company to SEWA International Trinidad and Tobago and the Trinidad and Tobago Food Bank on Wednesday at AMCO’s head office in Chaguanas.
The food was collected through the Brunswick Colour Dash 5K, held on July 25th.
Participants gained entry to the event by purchasing five Brunswick products, with the initiative ultimately resulting in the donation to the two organisations.
SEWA International and the Trinidad and Tobago Food Bank provide food support to individuals and families experiencing hardship, as demand for assistance continues to be a concern.
Representatives of both organisations accepted the donation, which is expected to be distributed through their respective food assistance programmes.
The initiative is part of a wider effort to use community and corporate partnerships to provide direct support to households experiencing food insecurity.
