Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Eli Zakour met with the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago on Monday to review key strategies for transforming the aviation sector.
The meeting forms part of the Minister’s continued engagement with State Agencies under the newly formed Ministry. While acknowledging recent successes such as expanded air routes and global safety recognition, Minister Zakour emphasised the need for urgent upgrades.
Among the top priorities are better coordination with Immigration and Customs, modern parking infrastructure, technology integration for faster processing, and attracting international cargo carriers to boost revenue.
The Minister reaffirmed his commitment to innovation, efficiency, and ongoing collaboration as Trinidad and Tobago charts a new path in civil aviation.
