A Diego Martin man was arrested and quantities of narcotics with a combined street value of over TT$20.8 million, were seized by officers of the Northern Division Task Force, Area South and a Specialist Unit of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, last evening.
An operation was conducted in the Western Division during the period 6pm and 11:30pm on Thursday 14th August, 2025, during which officers proceeded to a business place located in the Glencoe district, owned by a 39-year-old male suspect.
A search of the premises was conducted, resulting in the discovery of quantities of cannabis and cocaine in a locked room.
Further searches were then carried out at the Diego Martin home of the suspect, where more cannabis and cocaine were discovered.
Among the finds were five packets of pure cocaine with a combined weight of 5.62 kilogrammes and an estimated street value of TT$7,833,830.40 and a total of 157 packets of Colombian ‘Creepy’ cannabis, with a combined weight of 118.58 kilogrammes and an estimated street value of TT$13,013,799.26.
The suspect was arrested in connection with the finds.
The operation was coordinated by W/Snr. Supt. Maynard-Wilson, Supt. Etienne, ASP Pitt and ASP Jones and spearheaded by Insp. Gadar and Sgt. Persad.
Investigations are ongoing.
