In a concerted effort to disrupt criminal activity and enhance public safety, a coordinated police operation dubbed “Summer Slam” was conducted across several communities, resulting in the arrest of 32 individuals, execution of 14 warrants, and multiple seizures of firearms, ammunition, and narcotics.
The operation, which included 42 stop and search exercises, led to the following major outcomes:
ARRESTS MADE:
Firearm, Ammunition & Robbery Offences:
- One suspect held for Driving without Driver’s Permit and Certificate of Insurance; Possession of 3 rounds of 9mm ammunition; Robbery with Violence.
- One suspect held for Possession of 198 grams of cannabis; Robbery with Violence.
- Two suspects held for Robbery enquiries.
- Two suspects held for Larceny enquiries.
Drug-Related Offences:
- Suspect held for possession of 11 cannabis plants.
- One Suspect held – Warrant for Possession of Cocaine.
- One Suspect held – Warrant for Possession of Cocaine.
Violent Crimes:
- One Suspect held – Enquiries re: Malicious Wounding.
Burglary Investigations:
- Two suspects held – Enquiries re: Burglary in St. Margaret’s and other areas.
Breach of Protection Orders:
- One suspect held – Two counts of Breach of Protection Order.
AFFILIATION AND OTHER WARRANTS EXECUTED:
Twelve persons were arrested on Affiliation Warrants totaling over $66,000. And eight persons held for enquiries.

• Two (2) Homemade Shotguns
• Two (2) 12-gauge cartridges
• Three (3) 9mm rounds
Narcotics
• 198 grams of cannabis
• 11 cannabis plants
TRAFFIC & SAFETY ENFORCEMENT:
• 14 Fixed Penalty Notices issued for various traffic violations.
