Thirty sites in Trinidad and Tobago, both onshore and underwater, were part of the nationally coordinated coastal clean-up exercise, headed by the Ministry of Planning, Economic Affairs and Development.
This year’s waste count consisted of approximately 986 pounds of plastic, 112 pounds of glass, and 2,600 pounds of miscellaneous items such as appliances, electronics, and tyres.
