Four Persons Arrested, Cannabis Seized In Fyzabad

A targeted police operation in the Fyzabad district on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, resulted in the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of cannabis.

At approximately 7:10pm, officers acting on intelligence regarding three motor vehicles allegedly transporting illegal firearms, ammunition, and narcotics intercepted the vehicles near the Unipet Gas Station in Fyzabad.

A search of one of the vehicles, a white Nissan Avenir, led to the discovery of 335 packets of cannabis concealed in the trunk. The substance was later weighed and amounted to 201.98 kilograms.

As a result of the discovery, four persons were arrested in connection with the seizure and are also being questioned in relation to other serious crimes under investigation in the South Western Division. The individuals are:
A 25-year-old man of Pepper Village, Fyzabad – arrested for possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
A 49-year-old man of Pepper Village, Fyzabad – detained for enquiries.
A 47-year-old man of Francis Trace Extension, Santa Flora – detained for enquiries.
A 21-year-old man of Pepper Village, Fyzabad – detained for enquiries.

The exercise was coordinated by Ag/Sgt Tai Kan, PC Mohammed, and a team of officers from the Siparia Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Siparia Police Station.
