T&T Claims Double Bronze At Rugby Americas North Sevens

It was an exciting final day of action at the Rugby Americas North Sevens Tournament at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima.

For the Trinidad and Tobago Senior Men’s and Women’s Rugby Teams, Sunday concluded with both teams securing Bronze medal finishes.

Despite losing 44-0 to Canada in the semi-final, the T&T Men’s Rugby team bounced back with an impressive 29-5 win over Bermuda. This win, which included a hat-trick from Jonathan Taylor, saw them earn qualification for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.

On the women’s side, after finishing third in the Group stages, T&T also defeated Bermuda in their bronze medal match 27-0, thanks to strong performances by Fayola Jack and Kalena Burke. However, unlike the men’s team, the women missed out on a spot at the CAC Games.

Trinidad and Tobago will host the tournament for a third year running in 2026.
