The Chief Personnel Officer, Dr. Daryl Dindial, has formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the executive of the Public Services Association for a 10% increase in salaries and allowances for the 2014 to 2016 and the 2017 to 2019 periods.
A statement from the Personnel Department indicates the signed agreement also includes several categories, including meal, travelling, house, and transfer allowances.
Dr. Dindial indicated he has agreed to continue discussions with the PSA to determine the methods and timelines for the settlement of outstanding allowances and the payment of arrears.
In its own statement, the PSA indicated that the agreement addresses new salaries for the month of January 2026, allowances to take effect from January 1st, 2014, and an advance on arrears on or before December 23, 2026, with consolidation of the cost of living allowance for both periods.
