As hundreds of people head into the Chaguanas area during this busy Christmas shopping season, President of the Chaguanas Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Baldath Maharaj commends the region’s policing efforts, pointing to a reduction in petty theft. Mr Maharaj said that some weeks ago the Chamber met with the Mayor, Municipal police and traffic wardens and came up with a harmonized plan. He also expressed his appreciation for the removal of vendors from the walkways, freeing foot traffic.
Mr. Maharaj applauded the work being done by the region’s traffic officers and describes their efforts as greatly benefiting the area’s business community by improving traffic flow and reducing bottleneck issues.
