Heritage Petroleum Company Limited says it is continuing to provide coordination support to Well Services Petroleum Company Limited, as efforts intensify to recover the rig and locate Mr. Pete Phillip’s body.
Rig 110 partially collapsed on December 22nd, 2024, resulting in Mr. Phillip’s disappearance. Salvage and recovery operations began on Monday, November 8th, 2025, and have been progressing in phases.
The second phase now focuses on recovery operations and is underway, with all regulatory approvals secured, specialised equipment in place and continuous safety monitoring ongoing.
While the search for Mr. Phillip remains a priority, divers have so far been unable to locate his remains.
Heritage Petroleum says Mr. Phillip’s family continues to receive regular updates on the operation.
