LandmarkTT Properties Limited To Drive New State-Private Housing Initiative

The Ministry of Land and Legal Affairs has announced a new State enterprise, LandmarkTT Properties Limited, to spearhead a public-private housing initiative aimed at boosting residential development on underutilised State lands.

The Ministry said the venture creates a State Land Investment and Development Public-Private Partnership model, through which Government will provide State lands for private developers to build fully planned housing communities.

The programme is expected to target mid to upper-income earners and increase the supply of unsubsidised, high-quality housing.

According to the Ministry, LandmarkTT’s mandate includes identifying priority sites, overseeing construction in line with national standards, crafting profit-sharing and payment structures, and managing the marketing and sale of completed residential units.

A five-member Board has been appointed to guide the new enterprise: Ferose Mohammed, Darren Atwaroo, Keston Lewis, Gerard Jaggernauth, and Kerry-Anne Lana Maraj.
