The Central Statistical Office has released the Consumer Price Index for February 2026.
The annual inflation rate for February stood at 0.6%, a slight decrease from 0.7% in January 2026. This marks a decrease from the previous year’s inflation rate of 0.7% for the same period.
The All Items Index for February 2026 remained stable at 125.8, unchanged from January. The Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages Index saw a modest increase of 0.1%, driven by rising prices in items like Irish potatoes, fresh carite, and soft drinks. However, this was offset by price reductions in tomatoes, fresh chicken, and other produce.
The February report also showed a small decrease in the sub-indices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.2% and health by 0.1%. Other categories remained stable during the period.
