Heritage Petroleum Company Limited (Heritage) has successfully drilled and completed well S-946 in its offshore TNA acreage, delivering production rates exceeding 800 barrels of oil per day (bopd).
S-946 targeted the Cruse A/B reservoir and had a forecast initial production rate of 635 bopd. The well was spudded in April 2026, and drilling results exceeded expectations, with approximately 375 feet of net oil sand encountered.
The well was brought on production in August 2026, with an initial rate of approximately 330 bopd. Following startup optimisation activities, performance improved significantly, with current test rates exceeding 800 bopd.
The success of the S-946 well highlights the exceptional quality of the Cruse A/B reservoir, the effectiveness of Heritage’s subsurface development strategy and the substantial value generated through disciplined well execution, reservoir management and production optimisation. These results reinforce the potential of the TNA acreage and demonstrate the organisation’s ability to unlock sustainable production growth from its offshore assets.
The performance of S-946 further underscores the prospectivity of Heritage’s offshore portfolio and Heritage’s commitment to maximising value from Trinidad and Tobago’s hydrocarbon resources. Through continued operational excellence and reservoir optimisation, the company remains focused on delivering sustainable production growth and long-term value for the country and its stakeholders.
