Opposition Senator Vishnu Dhanpaul has replaced Senator Janelle John-Bates on two major parliamentary oversight bodies after the Government moved to remove her from committee roles amid a controversy over alleged improper conduct.
Leader of Government Business in the Senate, Darrell Allahar, tabled the motion on Tuesday to remove Senator John-Bates from both the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC) and a Joint Select Committee (JSC).
All members of the Senate voted in favour of the move.
