Following high-level talks in Caracas on September 3, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Félix Plasencia described the visit of Trinidad and Tobago’s Foreign Minister Sean Sobers as the start of a “new era” in bilateral relations.
Taking to social media and official communications after the meeting, Mr. Plasencia expressed strong optimism about the diplomatic engagement
He said the meeting pointed to the future of diplomacy between T&T and Venezuela reaffirming their historic friendship.
Welcoming Minister Sobers on behalf of acting President Delcy Rodríguez on Thursday, he emphasized a shared commitment to cooperation, fraternity, mutual respect, and stronger ties moving forward.
The visit signalled growing optimism for closer collaboration between the two Caribbean neighbours.
