TT Fugitive Extradited To The United States On Armed Robbery Charges

A Trinidad and Tobago fugitive has been extradited to the United States to face charges of armed robbery and conspiracy, 12 years after a warrant was issued for his arrest in Maryland, United States.

On Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, Kervon Noel was escorted from Port of Spain to the United States by the United States Marshals Service, along with special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the US Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS).

According to information from the US Embassy in Port of Spain, a warrant for Noel’s arrest was issued in Maryland in November 2014 for two counts of armed robbery and conspiracy. Noel was granted bail and ordered to appear in court to answer the charges in December 2014 but failed to do so, having fled the United States to Trinidad and Tobago.

US law enforcement authorities requested the extradition of Noel in January 2026. He was arrested in Port of Spain on February 11th, 2026, at the request of the United States. He later consented to extradition, and on April 13th, 2026, Attorney General John Jeremie signed a Warrant of Removal for Noel.

US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Dr. Jenifer Neidhart de Ortiz said, “This successful extradition exemplifies the strength and excellence of American law enforcement working hand-in-hand with our Trinidad and Tobago partners. Our collaborative efforts demonstrate the power of productive diplomacy in action, consistently delivering tangible results that protect our citizens and uphold the rule of law. By removing dangerous criminals from our streets and ensuring they face justice, we showcase what can be achieved when two nations unite with shared commitment and purpose. The United States is proud of this partnership and looks forward to building even stronger ties as we continue our vital work together to keep our communities safe.”
