72 Players Tee Off For Cotton Tree Foundation Fundraiser

The Cotton Tree Foundation marked its 21st Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Wednesday at St Andrew’s Golf Club in Moka.

Patron of the Foundation, President Christine Kangaloo, was present as 72 players teed off in support of programmes serving at-risk youth across Trinidad.

Chairperson Allyson Hamel-Smith says, despite financial pressures, the Foundation has expanded its reach, adding programmes in nine schools, a vacation camp for 85 children, and a self-development initiative for young persons entering the job market.

“We continue with the reality of where we are in society and ourselves as an NGO, and we have an understanding that we will continue, and we do what we can where we are with what we have. The reason we’re able to continue is the community that we have, and you guys are all part of this community, even though you may not be aware of it, you’re an important part of this community.”
