All six Caribbean Premier League franchises have confirmed their pre-draft player retentions, locking in six emerging Caribbean stars ahead of one of the most anticipated drafts in the league’s history.
Under CPL regulations, each franchise was permitted to retain one player from its Breakout Player category ahead of the draft.
The six retained players are Joshua James, Ramon Simmonds, Quentin Sampson, Navin Bidaisee, Ackeem Auguste and Nathan Edward, representing the Falcons, Royals, Warriors, Patriots, Kings and Knight Riders, respectively.
Each team must name three breakout players in its final 2026 squad and field at least one in every match throughout the season.
The remaining squads for all six teams will now be decided at the CPL Draft.
