They’re back and it’s bigger and better. Distance Runners, mark the date, September 6th, it the Subway Road Race and it will be in Arima. The launch took place on Friday.
Nearly 800 runners took part last year now close to 1500 are expected to line up at Subway’s O’meara branch for the second annual Subway Series run.
Subway is continuing their partnership with road racing with their unique races on September 6th, the 6inch race, that’s a 6k and footlong race, a 12k.
Some off the key details were leased on Friday at the launch at subway’s St James branch including the prize on offer for the winners of the 12k In November elite runners come to the race.
That Panama marathon is happening in November. Yet again Subway has partnered with the Coalition Against Domestic Violence with support, financial and otherwise, having recently signed a memorandum of understanding with the group.
The gesture was well noted by one of the directors of the CADV Roberta Clarke among other things.
The event will be coordinated by Andreas Stuven and his Evolution Timing and he stated that the 12k will not be a doubling up of the 6k and to expected a scenic and safe course.
