Attorney General Receives A Courtesy Call From The Ambassador And Plenipotentiary Representative Of The Republic Of Singapore To The Caribbean Community (CARICOM)

Senator the Honourable John Jeremie SC, Attorney General received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Karen Tan, Ambassador and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Singapore to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), who was accompanied by Mr. Tharun Suresh the Country Officer, at the Office of the Attorney General.

The courtesy meeting reaffirmed the longstanding and cordial relationship between the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue on matters of mutual interest. Discussions focused on opportunities to strengthen technical and economic cooperation between the two countries, including the sharing of expertise, professional development programmes and the exploration of avenues for enhanced collaboration in areas that support national development and institutional advancement.

The Attorney General welcomed the opportunity to deepen bilateral relations with Singapore and expressed appreciation for the country’s longstanding commitment to international cooperation and innovation. Both parties reaffirmed the importance of maintaining open dialogue and close cooperation in identifying areas of mutual interest and benefit.

The Office of the Attorney General looks forward to continued collaboration with the Republic of Singapore in pursuit of shared objectives that contribute to the advancement and prosperity of both nations.
