KestheBand has officially concluded its highly acclaimed Roots, Rock, Soca Tour, marking another groundbreaking moment in the band’s remarkable journey.
The tour, which spanned the United Kingdom, Europe, and North America, made history as the first soca act to sell out stadium shows in the United States. The band also sold out the RBC Amphitheater in Toronto, Canada, drawing 16,000 fans for the tour’s final stop.
Sold-out crowds turned out night after night in major music cities including London, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto, with fans packing storied venues such as Forest Hills Stadium in New York and The Bellwether in California to experience the band’s signature sound and high-energy live shows.
More than a concert series, the tour became a celebration of culture, connection, and community, with each stop showcasing KestheBand’s ability to transcend borders and generations. Audiences from a wide range of backgrounds came together through music rooted in Caribbean identity, reinforcing the band’s growing reputation as one of the region’s most influential live acts.
Fronted by the charismatic Kees Dieffenthaller, KestheBand’s lineup features Dean James on drums, Jon Dieffenthaller on guitar, Riad Boochoon on bass, Mario Callender and Geiron Mang on keyboards, and Robert “Robbie Styles” Persaud on DJ and Ableton. Together, the group delivered performances built on exceptional musicianship and the unmistakable energy fans have come to associate with the band.
The tour was further elevated by a string of surprise guest appearances from some of soca’s most celebrated names, including Coutain, Lady Lava, Barbadian soca legend Edwin Yearwood, Iwer George, London-based Haile of WSTRN, Haitian singer J Perry, and Ravi B. The appearances created standout moments for fans and underscored the collaborative spirit that continues to drive Caribbean music forward.
The response to the tour reflects KestheBand’s ongoing evolution from a beloved Caribbean band into a global cultural ambassador, with audiences across every stop embracing the music and signaling growing international appetite for soca and Caribbean artistry more broadly.
With the tour now behind them, KestheBand is turning its attention to what’s next. The band plans to return to the studio to begin work on a new album, continuing a career-long pattern of pushing creative boundaries while staying rooted in the sound that has built its global following.
The band isn’t slowing down on stage either. KestheBand is set to perform at the DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) over Labor Day Weekend, one of the United States’ premier music festivals, running September 2–6, 2026. The appearance follows the band’s debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk earlier this year, marking another step in its push to introduce Caribbean music to new audiences on high-profile platforms.
With decades of groundbreaking music, memorable live performances, and a continued commitment to cultural excellence, KestheBand is redefining what’s possible for Caribbean artists on the world stage. The success of the “Roots, Rock, Soca” Tour stands as both a celebration of an extraordinary run of shows and a defining chapter in the band’s legacy, one that sets the stage for what’s next.
