Two Arrested Following Intelligence-Led Operation In Arouca

Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) arrested two men in connection with the recovery of a stolen vehicle following an intelligence-led operation conducted in the Windy Hill, Arouca district on Monday August 3rd, 2026.

The exercise, dubbed Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E Shield, was spearheaded by DCP Martin and coordinated by Snr. Supt. Gift, Supt. Jaikaran and ASP Operations Pierre. Operational coordination and general supervision were provided by Sgt Dardaine, while Cpl Modeste was responsible for direct supervision and intelligence oversight. The operation involved officers of the North Central Division Gang Intelligence Unit (NCD GIU).

Acting on intelligence, officers proceeded to Unit Circular, Bon Air North, Windy Hill, where it was alleged that several men were dismantling a black Toyota Aqua for parts.

Upon arrival, officers found no persons in the immediate vicinity but located the vehicle.The vehicle was subsequently recovered and conveyed to the Arouca Police Station.

Further intelligence led investigators to identify three male suspects believed to be connected to the stolen vehicle. As a result of those enquiries, two men were arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation. A third suspect remains outstanding, and efforts are continuing to locate and apprehend him.

Investigations are continuing under the supervision of WPC Bharath of the Arouca Criminal Investigations Department.
