The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism is offering more than four dozen incentives to assist local exporters.
Head of Exports at Global Trinidad and Tobago, Dhanraj Harrypersad, said the incentives include tax exemptions and allowances.
“Today there are currently 53 incentives available that support export investment and tourism. For example, there are many incentives for tourism and creative industries, such as Customs and Excise duty exemptions for approved tourism projects and tax allowances for sponsorship of performing artists, the fashion industry and audio and visual productions.”
Mr Harrypersad noted that there are also financial incentives of up to TT$1.5 million available via the Ministry of Finance for Small, Medium and Micro-Enterprise businesses.
“Information on these incentives has been verified and reaffirmed and is now available on the Ministry’s trade and business information portal to companies in need of support. I urge you, the people and the companies who need this support to visit the portal and apply.”
