Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector is showing signs of renewed activity, with oil production increasing, LNG exports improving and new gas supplies being secured.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister said major international energy companies are returning to the country and investing, while Point Lisas is being positioned for new growth.
She said the developments extend beyond the energy sector, creating opportunities for jobs, foreign exchange earnings, government revenue and increased industrial activity.
The Prime Minister says these developments signal that Trinidad and Tobago’s energy sector is moving again, with what she describes as a brighter future ahead for the country.
