Minister Padarath Meets PSA, WASA Workers As Negotiations Continue

Minister of Public Utilities Barry Padarath met with Public Services Association President Felisha Thomas and WASA workers at the Authority’s St Joseph headquarters this morning as discussions continue over ongoing negotiations.

Minister Padarath was received by PSA representatives and employees before holding talks with the union’s leadership.

Following the meeting, the Minister described the discussions as fruitful, saying he believes the concerns raised by the PSA are reasonable.

He said negotiations would move forward, with proposals expected to reach the Government by Friday.

The Minister said the Government would then report to the workers through PSA President Felisha Thomas and the union’s executive, providing an update on the progress made and the way forward.

Minister Padarath commended workers for their patience and perseverance, urging them to remain committed to the struggle that helped safeguard their jobs.
