Triplets Delivered At Sangre Grande Hospital

A mother of three healthy babies is being congratulated following the successful delivery of triplets at the Sangre Grande Hospital Campus.

Apphia Bissessar received comprehensive care from a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals throughout the delivery.

It marks the second successful delivery of triplets at the hospital, another milestone for the facility and the Eastern Regional Health Authority.

The delivery involved teams from Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Neonatal, Anaesthesia, Nursing and the Operating Theatre.

Following the birth, ERHA Chief Executive Officer Angelina Rampersad-Pierre, General Manager-Nursing Eleanor John-Eccles, Head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Dr. Chukwuma Akibor and members of the hospital teams congratulated Ms. Bissessar and presented her with a hamper and fruit basket.

The ERHA says the successful delivery highlights the commitment, expertise and teamwork of its healthcare professionals in providing safe and compassionate care to mothers and newborns.
