Grenada’s V’ghn Named Soca Representative For Spotify’s 2026 Carnival Sounds Campaign

Grenadian soca powerhouse V’ghn has been selected by Spotify to represent soca music as part of the streaming giant’s global 2026 Carnival Sounds campaign, marking a significant milestone for Grenada and Caribbean music on the world stage.

V’ghn is the only Grenadian recording artist featured in this year’s campaign, which will place his likeness and performance across Spotify’s digital platforms as well as on billboards in major UK cities, including London and Manchester.

The campaign lands during a landmark year for Caribbean culture in the United Kingdom, with 2026 marking the 60th anniversary of Notting Hill Carnival, six decades of sound, culture, and community that have shaped British music and offered a powerful platform for celebrating Caribbean heritage.

Building on the success of its 2025 edition, Spotify is expanding this year’s celebration with a new live performance series designed to create a platform-defining “Watch on Spotify” experience. The campaign features three reimagined heritage tracks spanning reggae, soca, and dancehall, with each participating artist bringing a culturally significant song into their own world through interpretation and performance. The Spice Isle singer who is expected to release a highly anticipated EP in the coming months chose to cover “Hello” by Trinbagonian soca superstar Kes of KES the Band, delivering his own sizzling take on the soulful hit.

As the campaign’s soca representative, V’ghn brings his distinctive artistry to a broader narrative about how Caribbean music is passed from one generation to the next while continuing to evolve. For the artist, the opportunity extends beyond representation in a major international campaign, it’s a moment of visibility for Grenada, the wider Caribbean, and the region’s contribution to global entertainment.

“Being selected by Spotify to represent Soca music in a campaign celebrating 60 years of Notting Hill Carnival is an incredible honour,” V’ghn said. “To be the only Grenadian artist featured this year makes it even more meaningful. I’m proud to carry the heart and soul of Grenada with me onto this platform and to be part of a celebration that shows how our culture continues to evolve while staying connected to where it came from.”

The Spotify campaign also arrives at a pivotal moment in V’ghn’s UK journey. On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, he brings his signature “Unplugged” experience to London alongside fellow soca star Skinny Fabulous, offering audiences an intimate presentation of Caribbean music and artistry. The London show is a fitting continuation of the campaign’s central theme, taking music rooted in Caribbean culture and presenting it through a fresh, contemporary lens for new audiences.

With his Spotify feature, a major UK billboard presence, an upcoming album, and his signature Unplugged experience, V’ghn continues to position himself at the forefront of a new generation of Caribbean artists carrying soca beyond its traditional boundaries and onto increasingly global platforms.
