Students in Moruga/Tableland received essential school supplies through a back-to-school book drive spearheaded by their Member of Parliament, Michelle Benjamin.
The initiative provided students with exercise books, pens, pencils, copybooks, notebooks and other items listed on their school booklists, aimed at helping them start the new academic term equipped and ready to learn.
Beyond the distribution of supplies, MP Benjamin encouraged parents to speak positively to their children and remind them that their current circumstances do not define their future.
She said the programme is about more than providing stationery, noting that she hopes students leave with a sense of encouragement, hope and faith as they prepare for the new academic year.
