Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism, Satyakama Maharaj, will lead a delegation of nearly 25 Trinidad and Tobago companies to Canada next week as part of a trade and investment mission aimed at boosting exports and attracting investment.
The Beyond Borders: Canada Trade and Investment Mission 2026, organised by the T&T Chamber of Industry and Commerce in collaboration with the Canadian High Commission and Global Trinidad and Tobago, runs from August 27th to September 2nd in Toronto.
TT Chamber President, Karen Yip Chuck, said the mission is intended to help local businesses “compete, connect and grow internationally.”
A key event will be an investor round-table featuring Planning, Economic Affairs and Development Minister Dr. Kennedy Swaratsingh, who is expected to present Trinidad and Tobago’s priority investment projects and engage with Canadian investors and corporate leaders interested in investment, partnerships, expansion and market entry.
The delegation will also participate in the Trinbago Festival at Nathan Phillips Square, providing an additional platform to showcase T&T’s products, culture and tourism offerings to Canadian and diaspora audiences.
