The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) today, Wednesday 9th September, celebrated the promotion of eight officers at a Promotion Ceremony held at the Police Administration Building.
The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the careers of the officers, with three officers promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) and five promoted to the rank of Senior Superintendent of Police.
The occasion was attended by the Minister of Homeland Security, Roger Alexander, Deputy Commissioners of Police, Junior Benjamin, Natasha George, Suzette Martin, the President of the Police Service Association, Heads of Departments and Units, and members of the First Division, who gathered to witness and celebrate this important achievement.
In congratulating the officers, the Minister of Homeland Security encouraged them to remain present and visible ahead of their respective charges, while making themselves available to members of the public. The Minister underscored the importance of leadership that is accessible, engaged and responsive to the communities being served.
In addressing the newly promoted officers, the Commissioner of Police underscored that promotion represents recognition of hard work, dedication and commitment to the Police Service. He reminded them that their new ranks bring increased responsibility and called on them to lead from the front, remain visible and accessible to the public, and continue serving with professionalism and dedication.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to reflect on the journey that led to this achievement and to acknowledge the continued support of colleagues, families and members of the wider Police Service.
The TTPS congratulates all eight newly promoted officers and wishes them every success as they assume their new responsibilities and continue to serve the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
