Chairman of TTT Limited, Michael T. Kerr, says there is scope for deeper media cooperation between Trinidad and Tobago and China.Mr. Kerr made the statement following a meeting in China with Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Sun Haiyan, on Thursday.
He highlighted the longstanding diplomatic relationship between the two countries, established in 1974 and pointed to existing cooperation in areas including infrastructure, agriculture, technology and public diplomacy.
Mr. Kerr also called for future media exchanges to provide balanced coverage of China’s development, including the Belt and Road Initiative and advancements in science and technology.
He says media cooperation can help strengthen understanding and identify opportunities for collaboration.
