The Zones of Special Operations (ZOSOs) Bill may soon be making their way back to Parliament for approval.
Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander made the statement in the House of Representatives on Friday evening.
Earlier this year, the Law Reform (Zones of Special Operations) (Special Security and Community Development Measures) Bill, 2026, failed to pass in the Senate after the Government was unable to secure the required three-fifths special majority.
And with the State of Emergency set to expire in a few days, Minister Alexander assured law-abiding citizens that their safety will not be compromised and measures are already in place to deal with any threats to public safety.
