Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services, the Honourable Vandana Mohit, on Thursday, September 17th, 2026, presented another cheque to the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago to cover payments totalling two million, nine hundred and fifty-five thousand, five hundred and thirty-three dollars and forty-nine cents ($2,955,533.49).
The audited sum represents payments to the Board of Inland Revenue for PAYE deductions.
The cheque was collected by Ms. Alaina Boochoon who is currently performing the duties of Director/Chief Executive Officer at the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
The payment reflects the Ministry’s continued commitment to addressing debts and its steadfast mission to promoting accountability, transparency, improving service delivery and safeguarding the welfare of the nation’s most vulnerable citizens.
By honouring these commitments, the Ministry reinforces its dedication to ensuring that agencies such as the Children’s Authority are equipped to continue their vital work without disruption.
