T&T Swimmers Face Challenging Day At Youth Olympic Games

It proved to be a tough outing for Trinidad and Tobago swimmers Jaden Mills and Breanna Belmar on the latest day of action at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal.

Belmar, who competed in heat five of the women’s 50m breaststroke, missed out on a place in the final, finishing sixth in 35.24 seconds.

On the men’s side, Mills followed up his medal-winning performance in the 50m freestyle on Wednesday with a strong showing in the men’s 50m butterfly final. He narrowly missed out on a podium finish, placing fourth.

Mills returned to the pool on Thursday for the men’s 50m backstroke, but fell short of a place among the top finishers, coming sixth in 28.03 seconds.
