The National Carnival Commission (NCC) hosted more than 300 food, beverage and craft vendors at the closing ceremony of its inaugural Vendor Excellence & Sustainability Training (VEST) Programme at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA) on Thursday.

Held under the theme “Preparing Vendors for Carnival Excellence”, the four-week programme focused on strengthening vendor capacity, promoting entrepreneurship and enhancing the overall vending experience ahead of Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2027.

In his remarks, NCC Chairman Peter Kanhai described the initiative as a valuable investment in vendors, whose businesses help bring Carnival to life.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Community Development, Dr Narindra Roopnarine, also endorsed the programme and commended participants.

As Trinidad and Tobago prepares for Carnival 2027, the NCC said it will continue to advance initiatives that support entrepreneurship, encourage responsible business practices and strengthen the country’s Carnival product.
