Trade And Investment Convention Set For July 2027

The Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association’s flagship event, the Trade and Investment Convention (TIC), will be held from July 15th to 17th, 2027.

The announcement was made by TTMA President Emil Ramkissoon on Thursday evening, while speaking at the Association’s 70th President’s Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain.

He also revealed TIC’s proposed theme, “Your Gateway to Global Business”, pointing to the convention’s impact and reach among local manufacturers and businesses.

“As we celebrate our 70th anniversary and look ahead to the future of manufacturing and trade, we are pleased to use this occasion to officially launch the 2027 edition of our flagship event, the Trade and Investment Convention (TIC), which will take place from the 15th to the 17th of July 2027 under the theme ‘Your Gateway to Global Business’. TIC continues to serve as a vital platform for connecting local manufacturers and businesses with regional and international buyers, distributors, investors and strategic partners, creating opportunities to build relationships, explore new markets, and take our products beyond our shores.”

Mr Ramkissoon also highlighted the Convention’s impact on small and medium-sized enterprises over the past 27 years, noting that it has helped businesses gain valuable market intelligence and develop the capacity to compete beyond Trinidad and Tobago.

“A company that has primarily sales customers at home can begin to see itself as a supplier to the wider Caribbean and beyond. That shift in perspective matters. Global expansion begins with the belief that we have something valuable to offer international markets, followed by the preparation and investment needed to deliver on that promise.”
