Caribbean Airlines carried 14,935 passengers between Trinidad and Tobago during the Tobago Carnival travel period, the airline said in a release issued Friday.
The figure covers the domestic airbridge from October 28 to November 4, 2026, a stretch that saw both local travellers and international visitors heading to the sister isle for Carnival celebrations.
The airline said the numbers reflect its commitment to reliable inter-island connectivity during periods of heightened demand.
To prepare for the expected surge, Caribbean Airlines announced additional capacity well ahead of the event, adding 8,000 seats to its core domestic schedule, with the extra flights available from as early as October 15. The carrier also accommodated numerous standby passengers throughout the travel period, giving more travellers a chance to secure a seat.
Caribbean Airlines thanked its customers for choosing the airline during the Carnival period and credited its operational teams for their efforts in moving passengers during the busy stretch.
“Caribbean Airlines remains committed to providing safe, reliable and efficient air transportation while supporting the continued development of Trinidad and Tobago’s tourism and economic sectors,” the airline said.
