Under the current laws of Trinidad and Tobago, E-Prescriptions are legal.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, shared that the Ministry has started E-prescription writing at many of the public health facilities.
The Minister was contributing to debate on the Budget in the House of Representatives on Wednesday. During his 2024-2025 Budget Presentation, Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert, indicated that this would be one of the measures to be implemented by the Ministry of Health.
He said doctors and patients in the public health system have shared positive feedback on the use of e-prescriptions.
