Aegis Hosts Governance Conference: ‘Regulatory Compliance for Digitalization’

Earlier this year, in February, the Registrar General’s Department of the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs launched its new Compliance Registry Online System( CROS).

With the increased regulatory requirements brought about by CROS, it has become crucial for businesses to consider aspects of compliance. In order to encourage and guide business stakeholders through this process, outsourcing and advisory services group, Aegis, hosted its Governance Conference 2023 titled ‘Regulatory Compliance for Digitalization.’

The idea of partnerships resonated with the audience as the feature speaker, National Chief Digital Officer in the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Wendell Mitchell, illustrated the need for all stakeholders to collaborate as his Ministry works to fulfil its mandate to find a new way to address the n10 consumption of goods and services using appropriate technology.

CROS facilitates electronic submission of documents to the Companies Registry and allows users to have instant access to services such as Name Search/Name Reservation, Public Record Search, Registration of Business Names and Non-Profit Organisations, and filing of Annual Returns.
