The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago (AMCHAM T&T) has facilitated direct engagement between local companies and senior representatives of the US State Department and the International Development Finance Corporation, opening the door for potential financing of major investment projects valued at US$5 million or more.
The high-level engagement was led by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Barbara Feinstein; Chief Policy Officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation, Caroline Vik; and US Chargé d’Affaires Philip Kern.
AMCHAM T&T’s CEO, Nirad Tewarie, said the initiative demonstrates the Chamber’s commitment to creating opportunities for members and strengthening T&T’s investment climate.
He added that greater access to international financing could support business growth and economic development.
