Angostura Limited has thanked the agencies that responded to Saturday’s fire at the neighbouring TSTT compound, praising their swift and coordinated efforts.
In a media release issued today, October 25, the company said the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) remained on site throughout the night, monitoring and managing the affected area. The TTFS will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary, while Angostura remains in close communication with the relevant authorities.
Angostura expressed appreciation to the TTFS, the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC), the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA), the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) and Industrial Rubber Products (IRP). It singled out IRP for providing firefighting foam, which helped bring the blaze under control.
The company also commended its own employees and leadership, who stayed on site throughout the emergency and assisted the response. It said senior TTFS officers recognised and commended their dedication, professionalism and responsiveness.
Angostura said the incident reinforces the importance of partnership, preparedness and collective responsibility.
