The Court of Appeal has adjourned the matter of ‘Nowshad Chadee v Ray Ramano’ to December 10th 2025.
Mr. Chadee, a prison officer, was charged on October 20th 2015, for possession of marijuana at the Maximum Security Prison compound in Golden Grove.
He was found guilty on May 24th 2016, and fined $20,000, with one week allowed for payment, or face two years of hard labour.
The appeal was heard at the Hall of Justice on Tuesday.
