Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister – Gender and Child Affairs, Ayanna Webster-Roy, has lauded the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for its donation to aid migrant children in their development.
On Tuesday, USAID donated 15 laptops and other vocational items to the St. Jude’s School for Girls to improve the quality of life for the migrant children in its care.
Minister Webster-Roy said the donation was done as part of the ‘Heal, Empower, Rise – Counter Trafficking In Persons Project,’ noting the importance of developing all children within society.
And USAID’s Regional Representative, Mervyn Farroe, said the agency saw the need to continuously provide assistance and resources to improving the quality of care for these migrant children.
