Senator the Honourable John Jeremie SC, Attorney General, received a courtesy visit from His Excellency Jon Dean, British High Commissioner to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, at the Office of the Attorney General in Port of Spain. The Attorney General was accompanied by Dr. Timothy Affonso, Administrator General, International Law and Treaties.
The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding relationship between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the United Kingdom and provided an opportunity for constructive dialogue on matters of mutual interest. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral and institutional cooperation and exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas that support good governance and the effective
administration of justice.
The Attorney General welcomed the opportunity for dialogue and acknowledged the enduring ties between both countries. The parties underscored the importance of maintaining open engagement and working together to advance shared objectives.
The Office of the Attorney General looks forward to continued collaboration with the British High Commission in furthering areas of mutual interest and benefit.
